Content Editor Temporary Position - Austin Peay State University

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, information systems or related field
Essential Functions
• Migrates existing university Web pages into Drupal content management system
• Communicates with individual university departments to update existing content as necessary
• Cleans legacy HTML code as needed
• Archives/removes outdated Web page content
• Maintains editorial writing quality and corrects spelling/grammatical errors
Required Skills
• Knowledge of Windows/Macintosh operating systems
• Working knowledge of Web editing software, such as Adobe Dreamweaver and Microsoft ExpressionWeb
• Knowledge of Web content structure and organization and/or previous experience with Web site mapping
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS
• Proven writing/proofreading skills, including a working knowledge of AP Style
• Effective verbal communication skills
Optional Skills
• Knowledge of Web technologies, such as ASP, PHP or ASP.NET, a plus
• Knowledge of image editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop, a plus
Pay: Approximately $16/hour and the position will be temporary until June 30th, 2010.
